Is a trade alliance likely between Russia and India?
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov flies to India to try and work out an energy deal - is a new trading partner for Russia a possibility?
After the US and China, India is the world's third-largest consumer of oil, over 80% of which is imported.
India has signed contracts for March and April to buy barrels of Russian oil at a discounted price.
The US has said that although these oil imports do not violate sanctions, any support for Russia will strengthen their ability to continue their invasion of Ukraine.
