We often hear talk of life flashing in front of our eyes before we die, and now scientists in the US think they've discovered that we really do relive some of our memories in our final moments. They accidentally made the first ever recording of a dying brain, when a patient died while having an EEG scan.

Doctor Ajmal Zemmar, a neurosurgeon at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, explains what they believe they saw. He says that when we do high-cognitive tasks like concentrating, dreaming or recalling memories, brain waves occur at certain frequencies - the same frequency that occurs just before someone dies.
