Exclusive: Camilla pledges to continue work against domestic violence as Queen Consort

In an exclusive interview, the Duchess of Cornwall has told the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ that she will continue to support victims and survivors of domestic violence once she becomes Queen Consort.

Speaking to Emma Barnett for Woman’s Hour on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 4 and ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Breakfast, Camilla said that the Queen’s wish for her to be known as Queen Consort in the future represented a β€œgreat honour” and that it would help to highlight the work of the causes she supports.

The duchess was speaking at Clarence House as she was reunited with Diana Parkes, whose daughter Joanna Simpson was killed by her estranged husband in 2010, and whose story Camilla credits with inspiring her to support victims and survivors of domestic abuse.

You can listen to Emma Barnett’s full interview with the duchess and Diana Parkes by heading to ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Sounds and listening to the Woman’s Hour podcast episode from 24 February.
