The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Moscow Correspondent, Steve Rosenberg, has been to numerous trouble spots of the former Soviet Union. He reflects on the 30 year history behind today's brinkmanship.

We often hear the phrase "Russia is flexing its military muscle". The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Moscow Correspondent, Steve Rosenberg, saw this at first hand in Belarus, where Russia and Belarus have been carrying out joint military exercises on a windswept training ground just a hundred miles from the Ukraine border. Steve has lived in Russia for thirty years - working for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ for most of that time. His job has taken him to numerous trouble spots of the former Soviet Union. For 5 Minutes On, he shares his reflections on the 30 year history behind today's brinkmanship.
