Quebec bans unvaccinated from buying cannabis and alcohol
Cannabis is legal in the Canadian province of Quebec but now it and alcohol are only available to those who can show proof of Covid vaccination.
The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Nada Tawfik explains that whilst 90 percent of people in Quebec have received at least one dose of a Covid vaccine, rising cases and staff shortages are straining the healthcare system. The government is under pressure to increase vaccine uptake and is considering further measures including taxes on the unvaccinated.
