Azeem Rafiq - 'It's important we don't let this moment go'
After giving powerful testimony about his experiences of racism at Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Azeem Rafiq is on a mission to bring about change within sport and society.
Azeem Rafiq says he's "determined" that sharing his experiences of racism at Yorkshire will be the moment "not only sport but society as a whole" move in a different direction. A day after his powerful testimony to MPs - where he described English cricket as "institutionally" racist - he says it's important that other victims of racist abuse are listened to. He's given the game's governing body in England and Wales a "couple of months" to implement tangible changes to tackle racism. The England and Wales Cricket Board said it had "struggled" to get the first class game to "wake up" on racism - and that Azeem Rafiq's experience must be a turning point.
