Could UN climate summits be a success if they were organised online?
As the world’s scientists and politicians descend on Glasgow in Scotland for COP26, climate expert Dr Tara Shine, Vice-chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Ko Barrett and Dr Saleemul Huq from Bangladesh’s International Centre for Climate Change and Development explain some of the benefits of the virtual negotiations that took place ahead of the meeting, which made it easier for poorer nations to take part.
