"I'm single, gay & I want to be a father" Hull performer Wayne Jackson is going through the surrogacy process to have a baby

He's been speaking to our fertility podcast Sex, Drugs & Lullabies about having his friend as a surrogate, finding a donor egg and the legalities of being a single, gay parent. "Back in 2019 the law on surrogacy changed, before then, single people were not legally recognised as the parents, so things like naming the child, education, childcare, would all be down to the surrogate and their partner in the eyes of the law."
