Sir David Amess MP - killed while helping his constituents

After the killing of Sir David Amess at a constituency meeting, we hear from Jo Cox's sister, Kim Leadbeater - now a Labour MP herself. And ask can politicians be kept 100% safe ?

The death of the Conservative MP, Sir David Amess, inside a Methodist church hall in Leigh on Sea in Essex is a shocking event. He was attacked while doing a job he’d done for three decades – meeting and helping the people he was elected to represent. Sadly, this is not the first time an MP has been attacked. Five years ago, Jo Cox was murdered in her constituency. Alex Forsyth – one of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Political Correspondents – was with David Cameron when he was told that the Labour MP had been shot and stabbed; he was out campaigning just days before the EU referendum in 2016. So how can politicians be accessible and kept one hundred per cent safe ? For 5 Minutes On, we hear from Jo Cox's sister, Kim Leadbeater - now a Labour MP herself.
