Who is Nobel Peace Prize winner Dmitry Muratov?

The Russian journalist Dimitry Muratov, editor of Novaya Gazeta, one of the few newspapers left in Russia that criticise the government of President Vladimir Putin, has won the Nobel Peace Prize jointly with the Filipina journalist Maria Ressa.

Famed for its investigative reporting, the paper's seen six of its journalists murdered including Anna Politkovskaya, the victim of a contract killing fifteen years ago.

Olga Prosvirova is from Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Russian but worked with Dmitry Muratov for five years as head of news at Novaya Gazeta. She told Newshour's James Menendez why she thinks he won the prize.
