NHS England will fund the first ever audit into the number of patients in the country living with secondary breast cancer. They expect the project to start within the next year. Charities and patients have campaigned for a decade for data to be gathered, as it’s vital for the planning of services and support. The charity, 'Breast Cancer Now', says women with breast cancer which has spread to other parts of the body - can often feel overlooked or forgotten. The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Jeremy Cooke has been given access to The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool to see the team treating women with the condition and hear the stories of some inspiring patients.
