Richmond Mayor: 'These monuments were an attempt to create a new narrative for the civil warβ
Today the largest remaining Confederate statue in America was torn down. The Mayor of Richmond, Virginia Levar Stoney joined the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ to discuss the removal of the controversial monument of General Robert E. Lee from his city. "βThereβs no other country in the world that erects monuments to those who took up arms against their country," he said.
