Festivals - and how Covid changed music
Music journos - Abbie McCarthy and Will Chalk - have been on a mission to find out how long gigs and festivals will feel the effects of the pandemic.
Last year, Covid wiped out the UK's summer festival season. This year, only a handful are still taking place - among them Reading and Leeds. Music journos - Abbie McCarthy of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing and Will Chalk of Radio 1 Newsbeat - have been on a mission to find out how long gigs and festivals are going to be feeling the effects of the pandemic. For 5 MINUTES ON, they talk to Wolf Alice, grime legend Jammer - and get a taste of what it's like to face a crowd of tens of thousands. Their documentary "Back to Live: How Covid Changed Music" is available on the iPlayer.
