Sophie and Charlotte
Charlotte's first baby was only 6 months when the country went into lockdown, and in December 2020 she gave birth to her daughter. For Sophie, her first is now 13 years old and the newest arrival who was also born last December was her partners first baby.
For second time mums, pregnancy and birth in a pandemic was nothing like the first time, and knowing what was coming didn't always make it easier, Sophie admits it was a daunting experience. Meanwhile Charlotte describes having to get to grips with her daughter's medical issues.
Both had to switch off the news and focus on bonding times and making memories with their families, but losing a sense of who they were before babies, and before lockdown, has been hard to get used to.
