Aimee Fuller brings you the Olympic Mile podcast on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Sounds. With the long-awaited Tokyo games now under way, it felt only right that we catch up with some of the athletes who are out representing our nation. As a two-time winter Olympian, she knows just how it feels, so is buzzing to introduce you to some of Team GB’s finest, as they have their shot at Olympic gold.
After whipping around the country to meet up with the likes of Tom Daley, Helen Glover and Adam Gemili, Aimee is now going to connect with members of Team GB as they settle into life within the camp in Japan, to give you an insider’s view of life as an Olympian.
In this latest episode of the games-time podcasts Aimee catches up with Tom Pidcock, fresh from taking the gold medal in the mountain biking event for Team GB, he tells The Olympic Mile what life has been like in Japan since securing the top spot at his first time of asking. The all-rounder made a last minute switch from road to the more rough and ready mountain biking and as he tells Aimee, his inexperience didn't hinder him one bit, as he took on a world class field to bring home the gold.
Also on the podcast is a gymnast who, like Tom, made his Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020 - Giarnni Regini-Moran. He joined Joe Fraser, James Hall and Max Whitlock, who secured fourth place at the men’s all-round artistic gymnastics competition. Up against the likes of the USA, Japan, the Russian Olympic Committee and China it was no mean feat for Team GB. Aimee finds out how it's been for him at his first Olympics, how he’s celebrated his success and what it's been like sharing an apartment with the team.
So come on, join Aimee and some of Team GB’s finest as we chat all things Tokyo 2020.
