How Covid-19 can cause a loss of the brain's grey matter
Scientists and clinicians across the globe have been working together, sharing knowledge and research across the timeline of the pandemic, as they desperately try to understand how this virus works.
Dr Sherry Chou, Associate Professor of Critical Care Medicine, Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, explains the range of neurological conditions that have been reported by Covid-19 patients particularly among hospitalised patients. She says that a loss of grey matter seen in patients who have had the virus may be caused by a lack of oxygen in the blood.
