Scotland's first medical cannabis clinic
One in five people in Scotland suffer with chronic pain. Some of those people have now joined a campaign calling for easier access to cannabis-based medicine. The UK Government legalised the drug for medical use in 2018, but it remains difficult to access.
In fact, only one cannabis product is prescribed on the NHS in Scotland and that's for children with severe epilepsy. But Scotland does now have its very first medical cannabis clinic, which offers treatments not yet available through the NHS. It opened in March this year, and The Nine's Social Affairs Correspondent Chris Clements has been to see it.
