Shortage of seasonal staff ahead of staycation summer
Pubs, holiday parks, cafes and other tourism businesses in Dorset say they're struggling to recruit the summer staff they need.
Hospitality venues can re-open for indoor trading from 17th May but many have told Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Solent that they face 'front of house' shortages.
The pandemic could bring huge visitor numbers to Dorset in what's expected to be the biggest influx of tourists the county has seen in recent years.
The owner and chef at Cherries Ice Cream Parlour and Cafe in West Bay, Marianna Browning; the General Manager at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park, Mike Smyth; and Karen Wisby from Frontline Recruitment in Weymouth.
