Don't ever give up hope - the little things really do matter
Andrew reflects on bringing flowers and a card to a Mum who, on the surface at least, doesn't know that she's a mother. But he's inspired watching one carer help with the leg and foot exercises to move her arthritic joints. He also gets a confidence boost from a second carer. Andrew visits every Monday and usually takes Mum out for a ride in the car. Claire tells him that she's more alert, more independent and eats better when he's been to see her. His conclusion: don't ever give up hope and carry on believing that the little things really do matter. Mum and Me: The Dementia Diary was originally broadcast on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Leeds.
