Teenage Addiction: Wale Esho from Lagos Nigeria, became a drug addict at the age of 17
WHO in 2019 reported that 35 million people worldwide suffer from drug use disorders and that 11.8 million people die every year from smoking, alcohol and illicit drug use. But what is disturbing is that teenagers as young as fifteen are also addicts to drugs and the negative impact on their lives is enormous. In this report by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Charles Mgbolu, we hear the story of Wale Esho from Lagos Nigeria, who became a drug addict at the age of seventeen and the immense effort it took to turn his life around.
