Indonesian social media influencers among the first for Covid vaccine
In many places, the elderly and most vulnerable are among the first to be vaccinated against Covid-19, but the Indonesian government has decided to prioritise giving the vaccine to social influencers - to persuade younger people to do the same - and working-aged people between the ages of 18 and 60. They believe this will allow people to go out to work, and also reduce the spread of infection to elder relatives.
Celia Hatton, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Asia Pacific correspondent, explains the vaccination strategy.
