A former rough sleeper in Bournemouth, says the coronavirus pandemic saved his life.

The man, who we're calling Tom, says his life has been turned around by outreach services, during the pandemic - which has also seen him get off heroin.

Tom says life before lockdown was a real struggle.

He puts the turnaround down to the help he got from the charity St Mungos and BCP Council.

Almost 350 people across Dorset have been housed, since the start of the pandemic in March. At least 50 of these had been sleeping rough.

Both councils in the county say they continue to support the homesless and rough sleepers in this November lockdown.
