Where will the next pandemic come from?
Covid-19 has devastated many lives and the global economy but it’s not the first time a virus has threatened the world. Major outbreaks of Sars, swine flu, Mers, and Ebola have also occurred since the start of the century. Hundreds of viruses with the potential to infect humans have already been found in animals and scientists are watching new strains of influenza closely. Can we afford to ignore these threats?
