Kenya’s peace school: Swapping fighting for friendship

People living in Kenya’s West Pokot County have suffered years of violence, drought and a lack of investment by the government. But more recently there has been cause for hope. In 2019, Kenya and Uganda signed a peace deal promising to help communities living along their borders. One initiative to emerge from increased stability in the region is the ‘Peace Border School’, a school that hopes to integrate the younger generation. We visited the school earlier this year.
