Cameroonians among claimants against US immigration service
In the US there are serious allegations of mistreatment against ICE officers - the immigration and customs enforcement department. Making the allegations are a campaign group who say they've seen a surge in claims from Cameroonians and Congolese people. The asylum claimants say they have been forced under threats to sign agreements to be returned home from government detention centres. Christina Fialho runs Freedom For Immigrants, a group that wants no migrants to be detained. She told Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Newsday what she thinks is behind the rise in Cameroonians being deported. ICE did not give us a response.
