Rulebreakers: The shepherd and the settler
Muhammad is a Palestinian shepherd who has been grazing his sheep in Rashash, a remote corner of the occupied West Bank, for 30 years. His family has lived in Palestine for generations.
Danny is an Israeli resident who has made his home in a nearby settlement, in the land that his Jewish forefathers used to live.
When some Israeli settlers set up an outpost – a small, unauthorised community – near Rashash recently, conflicts ensued.
Max Freedman, an American Jewish producer, travelled to the area to try to unravel the conflicts and find out more about the lives on both sides.
This is part of the Rulebreakers series from Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ World Service, in collaboration with Sundance Institute.
Video produced by Elicia Epstein.
