Bones
A Polish mother and her teenage daughter battle over a shameful family secret on the perilous sands of Morecambe Bay. Can they confront the truth before the tide cuts them off? A play by Zosia Wand about heritage, slippery memories and the secrets we keep to survive.
Artist Hannah Fox and film maker Richard Berry, both from Cumbria, have produced a dreamy visual accompaniment to this Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 4 audio drama.
Close-up movement from local actress Mathilda Kenny provides the human detail, and is combined with sweeping drone footage of the epic Bay, a landscape animated by wind, light and tide.
Bones was screened at The Forum, Barrow for the Contains Strong Language spoken word festival, and the Radio 4 broadcast is available on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Sounds.
