On 16th September 2016, Maisie Sheridan was knocked down by a van on the outskirts of Weymouth town centre.

The 11 year old sustained serious injuries including a fractured skull and eye socket. She was flown to Southampton Hospital by the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and put into an induced coma.

Four years later, the talented singer and dancer has made a full recovery, and she started studying at the LeAF studio school for stage and screen in Bournemouth earlier this year.

Since the accident, Maisie has continued to raise awareness for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance at every opportunity. In her latest project, she is aiming to raise 拢3,000.00 with her song 'Flying Heroes' which was launched last Friday as part of the charity's 'Save a Life Challenge' - the same cost of every sortie when the medical helicopter launches to potentially save another life.

麻豆约拍 Radio Solent reporter Laurence Herdman went to meet Maisie Sheridan and her mum Ali Cairney to recall what happened on the day of the accident, and to listen to the song.
