Scottish Independence: Sturgeon revives plans for indyref2
The Scottish government is to set out its plans for a second independence referendum in a draft bill at Holyrood. But where does Westminster stand and can Boris Johnson really keep saying no to Nicola Sturgeon?
At the start of September Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon made her demands for another independence referendum crystal clear – based on the SNP’s expected success at the Scottish elections next May.
So far Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s strategy has been to say the one word Sturgeon will not accept: No.
But if the SNP storm the polls – can the man who boasts of respecting the will of the people really ignore what’s happening north of the border?
But what is the current strategy on both sides?
