Why I gave my kidney to an Internet stranger
Inspired by children’s TV legend Mister Rogers, Jon Potter made a year-long commitment to saying yes to anyone who asked him for help after a chance encounter with a stranger. Word quickly spread around his hometown of Pittsburgh and he dedicated all his time to being a good neighbour. Four years later, he did his biggest good deed yet – donating a kidney to a man he met over the Internet.
