Roberto Escobar on finding out he is the first-born son of Pablo Escobar
Roberto Escobar, who grew up as Philip Witcomb, is the first son of the world’s most notorious and richest drug baron, Pablo Escobar.
He’s written a new book revealing his life story, his infamous father and how he grew up not knowing his true identity until he was in his twenties.
Roberto Escobar was adopted by a British undercover MI6 agent who was working to infiltrate Colombia’s drug gangs, after he led the raid which killed Roberto’s birth mother in South America.
Patrick Witcomb and his wife Joan officially adopted Roberto and changed his name to Philip Witcomb.
He speaks to Emma Barnett about meeting Pablo Escobar as a child and remembering the raid which killed his birth mother.
The interview came ahead of the release of his book Son of Escobar: First Born.
