Chernobyl creator: 'I can't tell if we're a success or a failure'
Writer and creator of the hit TV series, 'Chernobyl', Craig Mazin, tells Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 5 Live how ‘mishandling of the truth’ became the central theme of the series.
Speaking to the Must Watch podcast's Nihal Arthanayake, he warned that society is yet to heed the main lesson from the Soviet nuclear disaster: “Everyday someone will say, ‘oh my God, this is just like Chernobyl’, I think on the one hand that’s success, on the other hand, it’s still happening!â€
The hit HBO show has been nominated for 14 BAFTAs at this year’s awards.
