Australian bushfires: Almost three billion animals were killed or displaced

In the months before coronavirus spread, Australia was devastated by bushfires which left more than 30 people dead and pushed thousands from their homes. Now, a study has estimated that the fires also killed or displaced nearly three billion animals across the country.
