Classics with NOW - Mozart Symphony No 41 'Jupiter'

The first piece in our new series 'Classics with NOW' is Mozart’s Symphony No 41 in C major, K 551, β€˜Jupiter’!
This recording is from a performance which took place in February 2015 at St David’s Hall, Cardiff, with conductor Thomas SΓΈndergΓ₯rd.
Mozart’s final three symphonies were all composed one month after each other in the summer of 1788. Symphony No 41 was his longest and last symphony, and was nicknamed β€˜Jupiter’ for its grand opening movement.
