Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 in B flat major, BWV 1051
Composer: Johann Sebastian Bach
Performer: Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Symphony Orchestra
Conductor: Leo Hussain
Recording date: 15 April 2011
Bach displayed brilliance as an organist, but he also had consummate skills on stringed instruments, especially the viola. In his 6th Brandenburg Concerto, two of them are given starring roles. The first movement makes use of Ritornello and the sublime slow movement gives way to an infectiously dance-like 3rd movement, ending in the sunniest of moods.
