Remittances continue around the world, despite taking a hit from the coronavirus pandemic. Caroline Theoharides is an assistant professor of economics at Amherst College and explains how significant remittances are for the 800 million people globally who receive them. Zaki, a Sudanese man living in the UK explains how sanctions get in the way of trying to send cash home. And Dora Zambria, chief operating officer of digital remittances company Azimo, tells Frey how her firm is working to bring the cost of sending money.
