Explained: How coronavirus spread through Britain’s care homes
Newsnight has seen exclusive data that shows large numbers of asymptomatic staff could have been unknowingly spreading coronavirus through care homes.
Figures from the UK’s largest charity care provider, MHA, shows 42% of its staff who recently tested positive were not displaying systems.
Nearly 45% of residents who had a positive test were also asymptomatic.
If care workers don’t know they’ve contracted the virus, how do you contain the disease?
