George Floyd protests: 'We do not want a military presence in Minneapolis'

A week after the death of George Floyd while in police custody, protests sparked by the incident have spread across the United States. An official post-mortem carried out in Minneapolis has declared Mr Floyd's death as a homicide.

Dozens of major US cities imposed overnight curfews on Monday as peaceful protests, rioting and looting continued. President Donald Trump has threatened to send in the military to quell growing civil unrest in the US, if state governments can't bring the situation under control.

Phillipe Cunningham, a City Councilmember in Minneapolis, gives his reaction to the president's statement.
