Eric Garner's mother reacts to George Floyd's death
Protests have been taking place in Minneapolis following the death of a black man in custody on Monday.
A police officer was filmed kneeling on the neck of George Floyd, 46, despite him saying he could not breathe.
His family have demanded that the four police officers implicated in his death face murder charges. Prosecutors have said they are gathering evidence.
Eric Garner, 43, died in similar circumstances in 2014. He was placed in a chokehold by an officer while being detained for allegedly selling loose cigarettes.
In footage filmed by a bystander, Garner, an asthmatic, is heard crying out, "I can't breathe" as a number of officers restrained him in New York.
