Melinda Gates: Trump defunding WHO makes 'zero sense'

Philanthropist Melinda Gates has told ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 5 Live it makes β€œzero sense” for President Trump to defund the World Health Organisation during the coronavirus crisis.

Speaking to Emma Barnett, Melinda Gates, of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, said the WHO is β€œexactly the organisation to deal with a pandemic”.

The foundation is the the second-largest funder of the WHO.

Today they have pledged a further $150m (Β£120m) to fight Covid-19.
