Coronavirus: A global pandemic told through through art

What are the images we turn to during extraordinary moments of national life, such as the coronavirus pandemic?

A lot of us would admit to feeling destabilised right now. Surprised by unbeckoned tears, panic attacks, troughs and peaks of emotion. And we are at last able to tell ourselves that - at least - is normal. Perhaps the only normal we have right now.

Emily Maitlis is joined by art historian and broadcaster James Fox, who has selected images that speak to this extraordinary moment of national life. They discuss how we rely on and turn to imagery during moments of turmoil.
