Coronavirus: When are people at their most infectious?
Data seems to show that people are most infectious a day or so before symptoms show and for about seven days afterwards. Professor David Heymann, an infectious disease epidemiologist who headed the WHO’s global response to SARS, explains the risks and why testing is so crucial.
