Latest on DR Congo's Ebola outbreak
The Democratic Republic of Congo has seen fewer people infected by the Ebola virus and there are some areas where not seen a single new case has been reported in the last three weeks. More than 2000 people have died in the outbreak. Thousands have been vaccinated, but to keep the virus under control survivors continue to need treatment and should be monitored, as they can still transmit the disease.
One NGO that provides Ebola treatments in eastern Congo is the Alliance for International Medical Action, ALIMA. Nicolas Mouly, is the Program Manager for ALIMA’s Emergency Department.
