Counselling sessions for boxers

Exercise has long been recognised as a way of improving mental health. Now a Glasgow boxing coach is pioneering drop-in counselling sessions for gym-goers before sparring bouts.

Michael Mbui has introduced the classes following the suicide of a friend. He says demand for the sessions has been β€œextremely high” – and he hopes other gyms can adopt similar therapeutic schemes. The Nine's Fiona Stalker has been finding out more.
