The latest televised debate in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination has been marked by sharp exchanges between the six candidates.

Michael Bloomberg, the billionaire, former New York mayor was the main target as he faced his rivals for the first time on the debate stage.

He has been self-financing his campaign, but Senator Elizabeth Warren said it was not the time to substitute one billionaire president for another.
