Mexico skeleton challenges theory on human history

Where did first nation Americans come from? A 10,000-year-old skeleton discovered in Mexico has challenged the traditional theory that humans first entered the American continents as a single population.

An analysis of the remains, named Chan Hol 3, showed they belonged to a 30-year-old woman. They displayed significant differences to other skeletons found in the region, suggesting at least two distinct Paleoindian populations.
