In this episode, you’ll hear about what it’s like to experience psychosis – a mental health condition that can involve vivid hallucinations and delusions. Danielle and Em will also describe what happens when someone is sectioned, step-by-step. This is something they both have a close personal experience of. At what point do you spot that something isn’t quite right? When do you call the crisis services? What happens when you get to hospital?

Presented by Danielle Manning, Sectioned is a five-part series that explores what it means to be sectioned under the mental health act and how it can change your life. Hear the stories of people with lived experience of being sectioned and discover what it means to have your freedom taken away for your own safety, and the safety of others.

Produced by Maddie Hickish. The Executive Producer is Nick Minter. It is a Wisebuddah production for Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 1.
