Does the gig economy exploit or liberate people's working lives?

British director Ken Loach's latest film Sorry We Missed You focuses on how more and more workers are taken on by companies without the normal rights of an employee, as part of the 'gig economy'.

It's becoming increasingly common across the world, but it's often criticised for not providing workers with access to benefits such as pensions, sick pay and holiday entitlement, and leaving them in a precarious position if they are unable to work. Others, however, see it as a way for workers to gain more freedom, flexibility and variety in their working lives.

What did people who work in this way make of the film?
