As a teenager in deeply Christian Kansas, Chely Wright thought praying would ‘fix her’ and she would be able to lead ‘a normal life’.

She has gone on to become a famous country singer - and in 2010 she became one of the first country music performers to come out as gay.

Here she talks about the very special moment that happened on the day that she came out.
