Based on a famous Chaconne by Handel, it would be a disservice to say this piece was an arrangement. Halvorsen鈥檚 brilliance is to keep the essence of Handel鈥檚 original work intact, whilst simultaneously exploring the relationship between the two instruments in a set of fiendishly challenging variations.
